Pravesh Mallick, born on July 1, 1980, is a versatile composer, songwriter, and playback singer. His musical journey spans various genres, including Nepali, Maithili, Indian film music, classical music, Sufi music, and Nepali music. Pravesh, a follower of Padma Shri Pandit Madhup Mudgal, is the lead singer and founder of the Sufi rock fusion band ‘Sanidhya’. He has been working as a composer-singer and music teacher for the last 12 years. Beyond Bollywood, Pravesh has released popular albums in Maithili, such as “Geet Ghar Ghar Ke,” “Chaura Tora Bazzar Khastau,” “Lehuaayal Aanchar,” and “Khota Shingaar.” His rustic and raw vocals gained recognition in Prakash Jha’s film “Jai Gangaajal,” where he collaborated with Salim–Sulaiman and sang the uplifting track “Maya Thagni”
